Called by name

But now, this is what the LORD says—He who created you, Jacob, He who formed you, Israel: “Do  not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.” —  Isaiah 43:1

He has made you, created you and formed you. Listen to Him. He speaks to you, He summons you, He calls you—you in particular, by name. Nothing you have done turns Him away from you, but instead, He calls your name, to make you His treasured possession, to redeem you and make you holy so you can receive His blessings and His joy, completely. The LORD, the all-sufficient, becoming One, burning but not consuming, is all you need and all you will ever need. Rely on Him today. He has created you and formed you out of nothing, and He can re-create and re-form you into the person He wants you to become today. He has redeemed you, so do not be afraid.

Lord God, Your love is too much for me. Thank You for taking away all my sins and everything that threatens to keep me from You, and for calling my name. You created me: Re-create me today. Make me new before You, to be only Yours, unbound by my tendencies and habits. You formed me: Re-form me today to make me truly humble, free from defensiveness and pride and self-righteousness. I belong to You. You have called my name, summoning me into Your holy, exalted presence. You have redeemed me. I have nothing to fear.

Let Jesus make you new now, re-creating and re-forming you so you can live free in His redemption. He knows you by name and calls to you to make you His own, to make you strong and courageous in Him.
