Deep

Deep calls to deep in the roar of Your waterfalls; all Your waves and breakers have swept over me.– Psalm 42:7

The deepest places within my soul are not hidden from God. Though I distract myself with many things, He knows that in my depths I long for something more that He alone can meet. He calls to me, He the deep One, He the only One who knows my deepest and truest needs that are beyond superficial and transitory hungers. From the deep places within the living God, He calls to the depths of my soul in love, in truth, in wisdom, in joy. He calls to me so I can be transported from distractions and preoccupations into His deep Spirit, His endless Spirit, His roaring waterfall of love and grace, His sweeping waves of joy and truth, further in, deeper and deeper.

Heavenly Father, I want to know You deeply, as You truly are.  Fill the voids in my soul and spirit to overflowing with the depths of Your true and bottomless and endless love. Keep me from the distractions of transitory things so that the roaring waterfall of Your love is the sound I hear. Let the waves and breakers of Your presence be what sweep over me rather than waves of emotions that would sway me from Your love, Your truth, Your relationship and Your desires for me.

God is calling to the depths of your soul with the deep, deep truths of His love from the depths of His Holy Spirit. Listen for His roar. Plunge into His sweeping love.
