For He says, “In the time of My favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation—2 Cor. 6:2

So often we put things off, thinking that later there will be time or days. But we are promised no more time, no more days. God, who dwells in all times and in all days, calls all times and days “now,” and makes every opportunity the present. His favor is now. His salvation is now.  All good things are available to us now that we are in His favor and now that His salvation is ours. And there is urgency in His demands. No longer should I postpone and procrastinate, thinking that the opportunity will always be there, or someone else will do what I should do. Now is the time. Now is the day.

Father, I’ve often withheld my words and my actions when You’ve prompted me. Many times I’ve withdrawn when reaching out may have brought Your kingdom’s power into a situation otherwise hopeless. Father, help me to trust You with the outcomes of all You call me to do. Help my unbelief and make me faithful. I know You want to partner with me in Your great work, and by partnering with me, bless me. So why do I resist? Is it laziness or fear or pride? Yes, and other excuses too. God, thank You for never giving up on me. Continue to provide opportunities for me to take part in Your great calling.

Do God’s work now. Obey His calling now. When He speaks, act.
